Wiltshire Volunteering Strategy 2011-2014
This county- wide volunteering strategy has been developed through partnership working and sets out a shared vision. It includes a three-year action plan for increasing and supporting inclusive volunteering. It addresses barriers to volunteering and how they can be overcome through practical measures. It sets out how to promote volunteering at local level and through a range of organisations.
The draft strategy and action plan have been developed in consultation with volunteers, volunteer-involving organisations, voluntary sector infrastructure support organisations, the council and business organisations. A full list of those involved so far is included in the document.
We are now seeking views from a wider range of organisations and residents of Wiltshire during this 12 week consultation period.
