- Description:
- The Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is the main mechanism for assessing performance against the timetable set out in the Local
Development Scheme (LDS). It also reviews the effectiveness of the development plan and it plays an important role in the
provision of evidence for emerging planning policies.
This report allows the authority to understand the wider social, economic and environmental issues contained with Local Development
Documents that affect the Wiltshire area. The monitoring that occurs allows the identification of current and future trends
and through comparison with current policies allows any outstanding needs to be identified and appropriate policy responses
considered.
The AMR is designed to report on operational policies following the re-organisation to the unitary authority and covers the
whole county for the period of 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010. The Wiltshire wide AMR is evolving and subsequent reports will
be updated to reflect any future changes in monitoring obligations.
