Council Tax Reduction Scheme
Each year we review how much reduction in Council Tax is given to people of working age and we publish this in a Council Tax Reduction scheme (also known as Council Tax Support).
From April 2020 we are proposing to make changes to our current scheme. These changes will ONLY affect people who receive Universal Credit.
These changes are being proposed because of the introduction of Full Service Universal Credit to Wiltshire. An award of Universal Credit often changes every month. Under our current scheme, whenever someone’s Universal Credit award changes by an amount that affects their Council Tax Reduction by more than £1.00, their Council Tax Reduction award will also be reassessed.
We would like to get your views on changes to the current scheme. The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and all your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence and not shared with any agency or organisation, outside of the council and our partners.
Please read the explanatory notes (under the supporting documents tab) before taking the survey.
